Today was a meticulous and mentally exhausting day at the studio. Our main focus was to finalize the nomenclature and product descriptions for our upcoming Aangan drop. After successfully locking in the names 'Lehr' and the 'Tabassum Set' the day prior, we cataloged the remaining pieces and began extensive research to find appropriate Urdu names that perfectly captured the essence of each outfit. We spent hours diving into Urdu dictionaries, but ultimately curated a beautiful, meaningful list of names. Attached below is our research for the article names.
We then drafted concise, SEO-friendly, and easy-to-understand product descriptions for the majority of the collection. We paused on the final two pieces—a dark green cotton set and a black cotton two-piece—as their sampling was still in progress.
Meanwhile, our design team was stationed at the sampling unit finalizing button designs and tassels. Upon their return, we held a detailed review session. We decided to edit down some elements to maintain our aesthetic, skipping the sleeve tassels on the Dil set for a cleaner look, and removing extra detailing on the Gul set that was getting lost within the sleeve embroidery.
We also received the production sample for the Munzar dark green cotton co-ord set, which we immediately tried on and reviewed. Finally, we briefed our designer, Fatima, to prepare the graded pattern measurements for the finalized pieces so we could review them first thing the next morning.
It was a demanding day behind the scenes at Tabassum. It seems intense creative focus often drains far more energy than physical labor!
